Frequent and persistent short-term absence
All sickness absence is recorded and monitored by the Human Resources Department with regular reports provided to the Directors. Frequent and persistent short-term absence will be investigated by the Line Manager, who will require a satisfactory explanation. JTL reserves the right to require a medical examination by a nominated doctor if concerns remain.
Ongoing unacceptable levels of sickness will be monitored and managed by the company and, where no improvement results over a period of time, may ultimately lead to dismissal.
